James Mark Bain, age, 69, of Rockwall, passed away, Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at his residence. He was born, March 19, 1957, in Commerce to James Billy and Dorothy Aikin Bain. James was a 1975 graduate of Bryan Adams High School and East Texas State University. He then started his teaching and coaching career. His parents, a sister, Deborah Rigney and mother-in-love, Carolynn Clayton preceded him in death.
James is survived by his wife of 41 years, Chase Clayton Bain, daughters, Lauren Strickland and husband, Adam and Jamie Hodges and husband, Matthew, granddaughters, Kennedy, Hanna, Maddie and Bellamy Strickland, brother-in-law, Dickie Rigney, (Deborah Kaye), sisters -in-law, Christi Korzekwa (Don) and Monica Clayton,brother -in-law, Casey Clayton, nephews, , Brian Rigney (Kalena), Caleb Clayton and Joshua Clayton, nieces, Kelli Molck (Andy), Alix Golla, Jordan Clayton and Emma Clayton, great nieces and nephews, Colton and Karli Crawford, Jarrett, Brooks and Abbey Rigney, Wesley and Barrett Helmer, Drew Molck and Ashlee Molck, cousins, Don Audas and wife, Michele (Shelby and Drew) and Sharon Boland and husband, Mike (Brad, Patrick and Brooke), and his dearest friends, Kyle and Moana Costello (Sean Costello (Kari) and Vonnie Costello).
The family would like to send a special thanks to Elena, Kimra, Julie, Kawanna and the rest of the caring team from NOLA's Hands and the caring professionals from Complete Hospice.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Honorary Pallbearers are Adam Strickland, Matthew Hodges, Don Audas, Kyle Costello, Dickie Rigney, Brian Rigney and Andy Molck.
