James Harvey Elrod

James Harvey Elrod, age 72, passed away on June 6, 2026, at his residence.

James was born March 20, 1954, in Clarksville to James Marion and Ethel Meers Elrod.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Johnny Elrod; his son, James Heath Elrod and his grandson, Dustin Elrod.

He is survived by his daughter, Lorie Lee and husband Billy; his son, Lonnie Elrod and wife Jennifer; and his daughter, Madalynn Houston; his grandchildren, Kimberly Elrod, James Heath Elrod II, Dylan Lee and wife Haley, Dalson Lee, and Luke Elrod; and by his great-grandchildren, Easton Elrod, Ava Elrod, Emma Elrod, Tyson George, James Heath Elrod III, Whitley Elrod, Olivia Lee, and Aubrey Lee; his sisters, Joyce Bailey, Pearl Hearn.

James will be remembered for who he was by the people he encountered, along with friends and family.

“Life has to end. Love doesn’t.” 

A Memorial Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 10th, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Lindeman Chapel at Clarksville Funeral Home.
