James Allen Obituary

James Gerry Allen, age 72, of Mt. Vernon, formerly of Clarksville, passed away, Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Heritage Park Village in Mt. Pleasant. James was born December, 21, 1947, to James William and Alice Joyce Fowler Allen in Clarksville. He is preceded in death by his father; mother, Alice Joyce Fowler Allen Adair; and his step-father, Bob Adair. Gerry served in the U.S. Navy and was retired from the Franklin County Sheriff’s office.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Sue Allen of Mt. Vernon; one son, Randy Allen and wife, Lisa of Santa Fe, New Mexico; two grandchildren, Sydney Allen and Paul Allen of Santa Fe, New Mexico; one sister, Donna Allen Robinson of Clarksville; nephew, Aaron Robinson and wife, Dee of Clarksville, great nephew, Jace Robinson of Clarksville.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
