Harry Moore Obituary

Harry Roland Moore, age 76, of Clarksville, passed away, Friday, September 16, 2022, in Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. Harry was born, March 12, 1946, in Clarksville to Hubert Roland and Ella Sutton Joyner Moore. He married Linda Weaver on August 7, 1971, at the First Baptist Church in Clarksville. Harry was an active member of McKenzie Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Lamar County Electric Cooperative Board for eight years. Harry loved to hunt, his favorite moments hunting were when he was able to go and spend time with his grandson, Kaden. He loved fishing, his favorite fishing was at McGee Creek for crappie. Harry’s favorite time of the day was “margarita time” on the back porch with Linda and anyone else that dropped by. He was wrapped around his granddaughter, Briley’s finger and loved to take her shopping. Harry loved his newest treasure in his family, Candi, he adored her. He was a wonderful husband and loving father. His son, Jeff was the apple of his eye and just like him, he was beyond proud. Harry’s family came first. Everyone in town knew if you were behind Harry driving, you were in for a slow ride. His parents; brother, Robert Moore; sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Tom Peek; and his father and mother-in-law, Billy and Ann Weaver all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Moore; son, Jeffery Roland “Jeff” Moore and Candi of Clarksville; sister, Sara Nell Peek and husband, Jimmy of Annona; grandchildren, Briley Renee Moore, Kaden Roland Moore, Cordell, William, Clark, Claire and Elizabeth; his labs, Mallie and Honey; his cats, Buck and Little Bit; and very special friends, Britt and Mary Holley, Larry and Daphyne Graves and Denny and Regina Whitley.
