Harold Alan Sheppard

Harold A. "Hubba" Sheppard, age, 80, of Clarksville, passed away, Monday, March 16, 2026, at Paris Regional Medical Center.  Harold was born, November 18, 1945, in Clarksville to Kenneth and Ella Storey Sheppard. He was a 1962 graduate of Clarksville High School and then was graduated from East Texas State University in 1968.  While in college, Harold met the love of his life, Karan Eason and they were married for 50 years.  He taught school in the Westlaco and Sherman school districts. Harold and Karan moved back to Clarksville and he opened Harold Sheppard State Farm Insurance where he served the communities insurance needs for over 27 years. Karan preceded him in death on October 14, 2019.  His parents, brother, Kenneth Sheppard, Jr. and a sister, Karen Sheppard Carey also preceded him in death. 

Later in life, Harold married his "sweetness", Brenda Welch Sheppard who survives him today.  Harold also is survived by his children, Ben Sheppard of Bonham, Matt Sheppard of McKinney and Becky Sheppard of Bonham, his stepchildren, Sheri Capron and Karen Bell, his sister, Patsy Dial of Clarksville, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren and his special fur babies, Dimple and Archie. 

Graveside services are 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 20, 2026, at Annona Cemetery with Rev. Don Shovan officiating.  Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. 

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Friday at Clarksville Funeral Home.
