Harold Lum Obituary

Harold Rhea Lum, was born on October 21, 1933, in Boxelder.  Harold passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, in Wichita Falls at the age of 91.  Harold and Norma made their home together in Wichita Falls for 64 years.

Harold was the son of H.W. Lum and Ethel Rhea of Boxelder where he was born and raised until he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1954.  He served until 1958 and then moved to Dallas, where he met Norma Ward of Mt. Vernon, Illinois in the spring of 1959.  The couple were married on August 19, 1960, in Dallas.  Harold was an electrician by trade and secured a job for civil service at Shepherd Air Force Base in Wichita Falls just before his marriage to Norma.  He retired from civil service in 1989.  Harold and Norma loved to travel.  They traveled as much as possible, took pictures and brought them home to share with family and friends.  The couple visited all seven continents in the course of their travels. Harold always said that his favorite place to visit is one that he hadn't been to yet.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, William Mack Lum of Annona and Choyce Earl Lum of Duncan, Oklahoma.

Survivors include his wife, Norma, his sister, Nora Ann Upchurch and a large extended family.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Boxelder Cemetery, C/O Jamie Huddleston 11864 FM 909, Bogata, Texas 75417.
