Granville McAlear Dotson, 83, of Bagwell, died on Sunday, May 26, 2024. He was born in Detroit, on February 5, 1941, to C.W. and Donnie Mae Fisher Dotson. Over the years he worked many different places including The Paper Company and he drove a daily mail route from Dallas to Clarksville for the US Postal Service. In his later years he really enjoyed fishing for the big one! 

Granville was preceded in death by his parents, C.W. and Donnie Mae Dotson and nephew Johnnie Lee Dotson.  He is survived by his brother, John Charlie and wife ,Donna Dotson of Bagwell; sister, Eva Nell Fitzhenry of Dekalb; son, Michael Dotson and wife, Isabel of Paris; daughter, Amy and husband, Mike Redus of Pearland, daughter, Angela and husband, Matt Crosson of Holland, Michigan. He has 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

A very special Thank you to his sister-in-law Donna who put up with him, helped and cared for him in many ways over the years. We are very grateful. 

Memorial service arrangements pending. Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
