George Lipe Jackson, age 95, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026. He was born on March 28,1930.
George was united in marriage to Kathryn Virginia Lindsey Jackson on March 20, 1959. Together they shared more than six decades of marriage, building a life grounded in love, family, and hard work.
He was the proud father of Brenda Gail Ragusin (Al Ragusin), and a devoted grandfather to Cassandra R. Garcia (Julian Garcia IV) and Jacob R. Bennett (Adriana Bennett). George was also blessed to be a great-grandfather to Ella Garcia, Ava Garcia, Scarlett Bennett, Chloe Bennett, and Travis Bennett.
George lived in Dallas, Texas from 1959 to 1960, before settling in Mesquite, Texas, where he made his home from 1961 until 2022. In 2022, he relocated to the Rio Grande Valley, residing in McAllen, Texas, to be closer to his daughter.
George was born to James Arthur Jackson and Bessie Beatrice Lipe Jackson. He grew up in a large family and was one of ten children, having seven sisters and two brothers.
After completing his military service in the United States Army, George worked at LTV Corporation, an aircraft manufacturer. Later he worked at Safeway where he worked as a trailer mechanic and worked faithfully until his retirement.
After retirement George enjoyed a quieter life. In his spare time, he loved riding his bike--affectionately known as "Old Mule"--and spent many hours working in his garage at home, a place where he found peace and purpose.
George will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was defined by dedication to his family, a strong work ethic, and simple joys.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be 11:30 A.M. Saturday, January 31, 2026, in Lindeman Chapel. Private burial will follow in Gilliam Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
