Gail Laverne Watson

Gail Watson, age 83, of Clarksville, passed away, Monday, April 1, 2024, at Clarksville Nursing Center.  Mrs. Watson was born, April 1, 1941, in Clarksville to Shelby Lee and Oppie Gladys Brady Smith.  Her son, Johnny Lee Stringer; sister, Virginia Joyce Butler; and brother, Virgil L. Smith all preceded her in death.  Gail enjoyed singing, was a great seamstress and quilter.  She loved her family and adored her grandchildren.  Gail was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Roy Joe Stringer and wife, Deana of Clarksville; grandchildren, Colt Lee Stringer, Joshua Davison and Jacob Davison; great grandchildren, Mathilda Stringer, Kenlee Boyd, Chasity Davison and Chelsey Davison; and a niece, Lee Ann Butler and her son, Cody St. Clair.

Graveside services are set for 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at New Shamrock Cemetery with Rev. Mark Gossett officiating.  Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
