Ethel Ernestine (Lowe) Lewis

Ethel Ernestine Lewis, age 76, of Paris, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Born on August 30, 1948, to John E. and JoBabe Lowe, Ethel lived a life filled with creativity, warmth, and faith. She was a member of the New Apostolic Church, Ethel found strength and community in her faith. She spent her younger years on the coast, where she developed a lifelong love for the ocean.

Ethel was a gifted artist and writer, finding joy and expression through painting and storytelling. She was proud to have authored two books. Above all, Ethel cherished time with her family and friends, whose lives were touched by her love, laughter, and kindness. She will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Mary Jo Poarch; and her son, Trey Weatherbee.

Ethel is survived by her son-in-law, Kenneth Poarch of Clarksville; five grandchildren: Rachel Miller and husband Duane Carter of Clarksville, Bobby Miller and wife Aoom of Bay City, Daniel Miller of Seagraves, Tyler Poarch of Clarksville, and Jeremy Poarch of Clarksville; and six great-grandchildren: Preston Poarch, Ryker Poarch, Kaydence Carter, Joshua Miller, Monai Miller, and Chanya Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bogata Cemetery, under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
