Donald Edgar Burns

Donald Edgar Burns, age 63, of the Lone Star Community, passed away, Monday, August 23, 2021, at Focused Care of Clarksville. Donald was born, March 27, 1958, in Clarksville to Edgar Henry and Kathleen Abernathy Burns. He was an electrician and attended the Lone Star Methodist Church. Anyone that knew Donald knows how much he enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved agitating people! Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Burns; nephew, Douglas Childres; 3 brother-in-law’s, Bobby Childres, Dolan Mankins and Donald Warren; and a step-grandson, Matthew.

Graveside services are set for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Lone Star Cemetery with Rev. Don Shovan officiating. Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends that morning around 10:30 at the cemetery.

Pallbearers are Thurman Russell, Buddy Abernathy, Michael Burgess, Neil Mankins, Larry Joe Stafford and Mike Rust.

Honorary Pallbearers are Nathan Mankins, Shorty Bishop and Roger Earley.

Survivors include his sisters, Dura Childres of the Lone Star Community, Rachel Mankins of the Lone Star Community, Mary Ann Warren of Bogata and Jo Hinsley and husband, Larry of Bogata; his step-children, Kristi, Kelli and Steven, 6 nieces, 2 nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and 5 step-grandchildren.
