Donah Kay Loftis, age 73, of Detroit, passed away, Thursday, August 26, 2021, at her residence. Donah was a loving wife, mother and sister. She loved visiting and talking with all her family and friends. Donah loved fishing, arts, crafts and need we mention anything about roosters and chickens. She was a hair dresser and enjoyed cutting everyone’s hair. Donah will be deeply missed, but know everyone, she loved with all her heart. Her parents; Horace (Papaw) and Fannie (Mamaw) Smith; sisters, Pat, Sharon and Lala; brothers, Gene and Ricky (Butch) all preceded her in death. Donah was born, June 2, 1948, in McKinney to Horace and Fannie Poor Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Loftis of Detroit; 2 sons, Brent Wasson and Randy Wasson of Paradise; brothers, Joe Smith of Detroit, Ray Smith of Irving and James Smith of Detroit; sisters, Pauline Garrett of Arlington and Johnnie Tindell of Cresson; grandchildren, Chad Dalton of Keller, Bennie Galvin of Amarillo, and Chasity Downey of Tennessee; and 2 great grandchildren, Max and Ian Downey of Tennessee.
Graveside services are set for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Woodland Cemetery with Bryce Jester officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Chad Dalton, Joseph Smith, Paul Davenport, Michael Smith, Randy Wasson, Daniel Borrego, Derek Savage and Todd Leininger.
Visitation will be Tuesday night from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.
