Don Lawayne Townes

Don Lawayne Townes, age 82, died on November 15, 2020 in Humble, Texas. He was welcomed to his heavenly home by Jesus and many loved ones.

A celebration of his life is planned for Sunday, November 22, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Aikin Grove Baptist Church with Rev. James Brown officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until service time on Sunday at the church.

Don, the son of John Thomas and Beulah Townes, was born August 22, 1938 in Clarksville, Texas. He graduated from Clarksville High School in 1958.

He was an entrepreneur all of his life. He was a member of Aikin Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Kathy Townes, of The Colony, TX, 3 daughters, Lou Anne Herget and husband, Eric of Little Rock, AR, Leigh Annis Kennedy and husband, Randy of Pattonville, TX, Tracy Townes of Blossom, TX, 1 brother, Gene "Cotton" Townes and wife, Nancy of Paris, TX, grandchildren, Dustin Henry, Evan Henry and wife, Jessie, Cameron Herget, Ryan Herget and wife Drew, Conor Herget, Cole Herget, Bridget Hayes, Lauren Stogsdill and husband, Chase, Ryan Kennedy and wife, Mallorie, Chris Kennedy and wife, Shelby and Dalton MacKenzie, 9 great-grandchildren, and 3 nieces, Terri Townes of Longview, TX and Jill Conway and husband, Jeff of Blossom, TX, Karissa Lange and husband, Victor of Washington, DC and 1 nephew, Rob Boreaux of Brownsville, TX.
