Don Allen Pierce, age 85, of Clarksville, passed away, Sunday, September 7, 2025, after a brief illness. He was born, January 23, 1940, in Odessa, to Vaughn Allen Pierce and Beulah Mae (Strain) Pierce. Don attended several schools throughout his young life, as his father worked in the oilfields of West Texas. He graduated high school in Canadian, in 1958, and attended Borger Jr. College. He soon met and married Gail Robbins of Pampa, and together they had one son, Stacy. In Pampa, he was employed by the Cabot Carbon Black plant. Later, he worked in the oil and gas industry as a salesman in Casper, Wyoming and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mr. Pierce moved to Clarksville in the early 90s.
Don was a talented pianist and often entertained family and friends with his beautiful music. He was also an avid fisherman and an accomplished golfer. He spent many years enjoying these past times and the great outdoors. He participated in tournaments in both of these sports throughout his lifetime.
Mr. Pierce is predeceased by his parents, his son, Stacy Allen Pierce, his brother, Ronnie Lee Pierce and his close and special friend of over 30 years, Jo Boggess.
He is survived by one Grandson, Maxwell Graham Pierce (Samantha) and three great-grandchildren of Fort Worth, his niece, Veronica Davis (Lee) and their daughter Morgan Dunn all of Colorado Springs, CO, and the children and grandchildren of Ms. Jo Boggess, who reside in the Dallas and San Antonio areas.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 27 at 11:30 A.M. at Stones Chapel Cemetery in Clarksville.
