Dharlene Jones

Dharlene Marie Jones, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, of Annona, passed away, Thursday, December 10, 2020, at her residence.  Dharlene was 80.  She was born April 19, 1940, in Cumby to Willard Ernest and Charlene Gaines Brown, Sr.  Her parents; and a brother, Wilt Brown preceded her in death. 

Dharlene was a 1959 graduate of Clarksville High School.  She attended Stephen F. Austin University and East Texas State University and received her Masters Degree in Education. Dharlene taught for over 40 years at Clarksville High School.  Her most enjoyment was being over the DECA program.  The DECA program under Dharlene was one of the best around.  She later became Principal of Clarksville High School.  Through out her career, Dharlene touched many lives.

Survivors include her husband, Russell Jones of Annona; 1 son, Blaine Jones and wife, Shelly of Van Alstyne; 1 daughter, Dharla Spies and husband, Don of Missoula, Montana; grandchildren, Rusty Jones, Meagan Bryant, Dustin Williams, Aaron Williams and Sean Spies; great grandchildren, Nora Bryant, Asher Williams, Harbor Williams, Emerick Williams and Aurora Williams.

Private family graveside services will be held at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
