Dene Hatley

Carvel Dene Hatley went home to heaven on November 23, 2024, at Lakeview Rehab and Healthcare Center.  Dene, known as by his family and friends was 68 years old.

He was born on October 25, 1956, in Antioch, California to Arvel and Johna Hatley.  Dene moved to Texas with his parents and siblings in 1970.  He helped by working hauling pulp wood, taking care of chicken houses and helping on dairies with his family.  Dene was handicapped and disabled and lived with his mother until she had to go to the nursing home.

He was of the Pentecostal faith and loved his Savior, Jesus Christ.  He loved people and let the love of Christ shine through him.  He loved his family and all his dogs.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  He was preceded in death by both his parents.

Survivors include his brother, Roger Hatley and wife, Grace of Sulphur Springs; 6 sisters, Wyoma George of Sulphur Springs, Jenny Walker of Pickton, Pamela Gaines of Clarksville, Christina Hooper and husband, Johnny of Dallas, Darlene Howard and husband, David of Mcalester, Oklahoma, Marlene McGrath and husband, John of Mcalester, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Funeral Services are set for 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 26, 2024, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Jeney Walker officiating.  Burial will follow in New Haven Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
