Dedra Lynette Taylor, age 59, of Detroit, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2024, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Dedra was born and raised in Red River County to Tater and Charlotte Alley on December 30, 1964. She went to school at Detroit ISD. She worked at a nursery and had a passion for plants. Dedra also was a cook for a few years at the J & S Git-N-Go in Detroit, she made the best burgers around.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Larry Taylor and her brother, Wesley Sheen Alley.
She is survived by her daughter, Desirae Ashford and husband, Ricky, her sons, Zack Taylor and Justin Rodgers and wife Izzy; her sister, Margaret Atteberry; her uncle, Pete Deviney and 5 grandchildren, Gracie Taylor, Willow Taylor, Kylee Rodgers, Justin Rodgers, Jr. and Colt Rodgers.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 2, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.
Graveside services are set for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Detroit Cemetery with Jeff Blanton officiating. Burial is under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are: Ricky Ashford, Justin Rodgers, Thomas Bolton, Heath Dollins, Jim Bob Guest and Dee Rodgers. Honorary pallbearers are: Bobby Hastings, Ernie Hawley, Rob Robertson, Curtis Arrasmith and Pete Deviney.
