David Leo Whittaker

David Leo Whittaker, age 68, of Clarksville, passed away, Monday, May 21, 2024, at a Plano Hospital.  David was born, June 19, 1955, in Clarksville to James and Dorothy Daniels Whittaker.  He was a mechanic and served in the U.S. Army.  His wife, Joy Whittaker, father, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.  David enjoyed going on long rides on his motorcycle and his wife, Joy was the love of his life. 

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Hopewell Cemetery with Rev. Ryan Youngblood officiating.  Burial will follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. 

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Whittaker of Clarksville; two sons, Richard Wheeler and wife, Christen of Bagwell and Randy Wheeler of Hanover, Pennsylvania; sister, Diann Boyett and husband, Danny of Detroit; three brothers, Darrell Whittaker of Soldotna, Alaska, Charlie Whittaker and wife, Marilyn of Port Orchard, Washington and Jody Whittaker and wife, Samantha of Bowie; three grandchildren, Mark Wheeler, Marshall Wheeler and Arianna Campsey.
