David James Press, age 38, of Farmersville, passed away, Sunday, October 13, 2024. David James Press was born November 2, 1985. His dad delivered him at his home in Garland, Texas. David was an only child that was cherished and spoiled with love and attention by his family and all their friends. He was proceeded in death by both sets of grandparents.
He is survived by his mother Christine Sieber, that still lives in Jacksonville, Florida, where he was raised for most of his early years. He’s also survived by his father, David Jay Press and wife Liz, step brothers Nick and Alex Kagen, his uncle Alan Press and distant family - uncle Larry Press and aunt Sharon Kearns.
David got his GED at 18 and went on to Eastfield College where he got his degree in Air Conditioning. At a very early age his father recognized his natural ability at working with his hands and gave him many opportunities to develop his mechanical skills. His Dad built him his own work shop and work bench by the time he was 10 years old. He would build and work on electronic cars, air planes etc. by building models and braising copper.
Another area of David’s life that he developed with his father, was a love of anything with a motor. David James was about 3 when he began his lifelong love of riding 3 wheelers, dirt bikes, jet skis, snow skis, snow mobiles and any other vehicle he could get to go fast! He even took a few flying lessons. David James completed Coast Guard classes, and as a result was allowed to take a 28 foot Cabin Cruiser out on the lake by himself at the age of 13. This was a HUGE accomplishment.
Although David grew up mostly in Florida (until he was 12 years old), once he officially moved to Texas, he and his dad were able to enjoy trips together to New York City, Niagara Falls, The Great Lakes, Colorado, New Mexico and many places around Texas.
As an adult, David followed in his dad’s footsteps and worked for his father in Air Doctor Heating and Air Conditioning. David James studied hard and got his Masters License in A/C and started his own company named All American Heating and Air Conditioning. He took over his Dad’s company in 2020 and had been running Air Doctor for the last four years. David was a smart and talented technician and there was almost nothing that he couldn’t fix.
David James lived his life to the fullest and will be missed by many, but missed most by his father.
