Cheryl Hawkins Rogers

Cheryl Hawkins Rogers, age, 78, of Detroit, passed away, Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Clarksville Nursing Center.  She was born, in Longview to William Earl and Lucille York Hawkins Childers. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wayne Rogers and grandchildren, Alan Wilkerson and Angel Allen, siblings, Earl York "Spanky" Hawkins, Val Douglas Hawkins, Jan McCuller and Toni "Nona" Combest.  Cheryl was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church and loved her church family. She was very talented musically and loved to sing and play the piano. She was a 1964 graduate of Bogata High School. Cheryl loved and was loved greatly by her family and loved talking and telling story's and always had a "funny" to share. 

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Monday, September 1, 2025, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. David Darrow and Rev. Nathan Simmons officiating.  Burial will follow in Bogata Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. 

The family will receive friends an hour before service time. 

Survivors include her son, Samuel Joseph Wilkerson and wife, Michelle of Mansfield, daughters, Lisa Lanette Allen and husband, Coy of Detroit and Angelia Earlene Lewis of Detroit, grandchildren, Samantha and Carson Gibbs of Ivanhoe, Lane Allen and fiancee, Paige Baber of Detroit, Jessica and Alex Broomfield of Blossom, Cory Lewis of Detroit, Micheal Lewis of Detroit and Sydney Triplett Wilkerson of Mansfield, great grandchildren, Ellyson and Ace Broomfield, special loved ones, Craig and Frances Fletcher of Detroit, bonus grandkids, Casey and Katy Davis of Detroit and Dolan and Callie Fletcher of Detroit, Wade and Arianne Allen of Bogata and bonus great grandchildren, Arley Davis and Barrett Allen.
