Charlsie Nell King Hudgins, age 83, of Annona, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Clarksville Nursing Center.
Charlsie was born July 3, 1937, in Boxelder to Milton Nuil King and Abline Teague Barnwell. Charlsie loved to sing country and gospel music, she had the voice of an angel and won several singing contests. When she wasn’t singing, she was looking for garage sales or cooking for her family. She met her husband, Richard, at a party in 1951. They got married in 1953 in Ashdown, Arkansas. Charlsie loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be missed dearly. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Richard Hudgins and her brother, H.L. King.
Charlsie will lie in state Friday, January 15, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for anyone wishing to sign the register. Covid-19 regulations apply.
Graveside services are set for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021, in Gilliam Cemetery with Duane White officiating. Burial is under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Survivors include her son, Ricky Hudgins and wife, Cindy of Longview; 2 daughters, Kristin White and husband, Duane of Clarksville and Susan Westbrook and husband, Sam of Clarksville; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
