Charles Riley Upchurch, age, 91, of Boxelder, passed away, Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at his residence. Mr. Upchurch was born, March 24, 1933, in Boxelder to John Silas and Dottie Fay Phelps Upchurch. He enjoyed his family, his farm, being in the outdoors, golfing and fishing. Charles Riley was a longtime Deacon and member of the Salem Baptist Church. He also served on the Boxelder Cemetery Board.
Survivors include his wife, Nora Ann Lum Upchurch. They were married, May 27, 1956, at the Salem Baptist Church; his son, John Upchurch and wife, Tonja of Texarkana; his daughters, Cathie Parchman and husband, Mark of the Woodlands and Caren English of Cabot, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Jacob Upchurch, Casey Parchman and wife, Hilary, Allie Keith and husband, Josh, Whitney Walker and husband, Phillip and Jennifer Avery and husband, Garrett; three great grandchildren, Lydia Walker, Hadley Keith and Vaughn Parchman.
Funeral services are set for 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 4, 2024, at the Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Dickey officiating. Burial will follow in Boxelder Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour before service time at the church.
Pallbearers are Gerald Judd, Charles Monroe, James Dean Floyd, Pete Scultch, Paul Tatum and Benny Venable. Honorary Pallbearers are Bob Maroney and Glen Floyd.
