Chad Anthony Helms, age, 49, of Clarksville, passed away, Thursday, April 9, 2026, in Alva, Oklahoma. Chad was born, October 18, 1976, in Corpus Christi to Willie and Melba Mauldin Helms. He had his own trucking business, whether cars, logs, long haul or heavy haul, he did it all. Chad married Misty Michelle Baird on October 27, 2012, at the "RR" Cowboy Church in Clarksville. His mother, Melba Brown and a son, Logan Helms preceded him in death. He was a 1995 graduate of Detroit High School where he played football. Chad was known as a great "handyman", who could fix about anything. For his size, he sure had an appetite, especially sugary sweets. Chad enjoyed being outside, hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers and side by sides with friends. He loved music and going to concerts, especially Texas country. Jason Boland and the Stragglers were his go to. Chad, was always, happy, a good friend and a wonderful husband.
Survivors include his wife, Misty of Clarksville, father, Willie Helms of Bagwell, son, Tylan Helms of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, brother, Jeff Helms of Bogata, stepfather, Donnie Brown, several cousins and extended family members, along with his beloved fur babies, Rolo and Sadie.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2026, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home.
