Carles Wesley Hines Jr (C.W.), age 53, of Bogata, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
C.W. was born April 2, 1970, in Clarksville, Texas. He graduated from Clarksville High School in 1988. C.W. was a hard-working man who worked many years at Rogers Wade and Kimberly Clark and made many life-long friends along the way. He was a member of the Avery Masonic Lodge #921 AF&AM, which he took great pride in. He loved watching his children and grandchildren participate in their many activities and sports and was a youth baseball and softball Umpire for many years. C.W. enjoyed being in the outdoors fishing or hunting. He enjoyed teaching his grandkids to fish. His favorite past-time was spending time with the ones he loved.
C.W. was preceded in death by his father, Carles Wesley Hines Sr., a sister, Lisa Doyle, a brother, Randy Posey, his grandparents Carles and Billie Hines, and his beloved friends, Eddie Chesshire, Vincent Savage, and Darrell Pearce.
The family will receive friends Friday, November 10, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.
Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2023, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy VanDeaver and James Posey officiating. Burial will follow at New Shamrock Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers are: Josh Maynard, Danny Barber, Wil White, John John Davis, Michael Davis, Brandon Archer, Pancho Bailon, and Jamie Miller. Honorary pallbearers are the Avery Masonic Lodge.
C.W. is survived by his wife, Angie Martin Hines of Bogata; his children, Ashley VanDeaver and husband, Heath of Bagwell, Cade Hines of Detroit, and Karcee Hines of Detroit; his mother, Ruthie Ross of Annona; his step-children, Brittney Smith and husband, Stephen of Emory, Dalton Stringer of Bogata, and Hayden Stringer and fiancé, Victoria Davis of Avery; his grandchildren, Camden VanDeaver, Wesley VanDeaver, Lawson VanDeaver, Loralie VanDeaver, Cohen Hines, and bonus grandchildren Ian Smith, Ryland Smith, Hudson Smith, McKinlie Smith; his siblings, Kristie Walton of Frankston, Clint Posey of Avery, James Posey of Dekalb, Angie Posey of Annona, Jerry Livesay of Killeen, and Charlie Hines of Annona; his Uncle James Hines and wife, Johnell of Winfield, his Aunt Kay Sheffield and husband, Kenneth of Annona, his Aunt Connie Hines of Avery; his best friend and companion, Creed and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
