Byron Robertson

Henry Byron Robertson was born on November 14, 1936, and passed away peacefully on October 18th, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

Henry, who most knew him as Byron or Pops, was born and raised on a farm in Red Springs, Texas. He was the oldest sibling of one sister and three brothers. On September 7th, 1957, Byron married Gayle Tull of Bagwell, Texas who would be the love of his life for the next 65 years. He lived in Dallas, Texas and raised two boys, Henry Cris and Jeffrey Steven Robertson. He had various jobs through the years before he began a career at LTV in Grand Prairie, Texas in 1968 and retired from there in 1999. Byron devoted his spare time over the years as the President of the PTA of his son’s school. He was heavily involved with the Boy Scouts while his boys were involved. One of his proudest moments was getting his college degree from Dallas Baptist University in 1986 after years of night classes and studying. Byron was a Born Again Christian and was very active his church. He served as Sunday School teacher and Treasurer at the Bagwell Baptist Church and was ordained a Deacon on February 7th, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his father; Henry Austin Robertson and mother, Lovie Paulyne Robertson He is survived by his wife, Gayle Tull Robertson;his two sons Cris Robertson and wife, Kacy and Jeff Robertson and wife Marlo; his brother, Joe Robertson and wife, Diane; sister, Becky Rogers and husband, Ray; brother, Don Robertson and brother, Gene Robertson and wife, Trish. They had six grandchildren; Chandler, Riley, Macie, Emmry, Lawson and Dallas; a special sister-in-law, Sue Crook and extended family and many loving friends.

Funeral services are set for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2022, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Karl Bush officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Andy Robertson, Darryl Rogers, Taylor Nors,Todd Coffman,Lee Coffman,Zach Breimon,James Griggs,Larry Griggs,Mark Miller,Danny Miller and Charles Clough,

Honorary Pallbearers are, Dallas Robertson, Lawson Payne and Rev. Karl Bush.
