Burrell Wayne Harvey

Burrell Wayne Harvey, 62, of Clarksville, Texas died March 7, 2020. He was born in Denton, Texas on January 14, 1958 to James Paul Harvey and Brenda Whitsell Harvey. He attended Clarksville schools where he graduated in 1976. While there he was active in all sports as well as auto mechanics at the vocational school. Burrell’s love of racing, fast cars and motorcycles was fostered by him being raised in the local, family owned Chevrolet dealership, J.P. Harvey Motors. He had a passion for drag racing where he met many friends and expanded on his automotive knowledge.

He is survived by his wife, Terri Lynn Bolton Harvey; his son, Jeffrey Burrell Harvey; his parents, James Paul and Brenda Whitsell Harvey, all of Clarksville; two grandchildren, Breanna Camille-Alis and Leland Asher Harvey of Mount Vernon; his sister, Paula Raper and husband, Paul; his brother, Heath Harvey and wife, Mandy; a step-son, Jon Patrick McCoy of Arlington and step-daughter, Laura Whitney McCoy and partner, Geoffrey Antuan Carter, and step-grandson, Jeffrey Tyler Carter, of Lavon; nieces and nephews, Rachelle Acree and husband Bobey, Luke Raper, Kadence Harver, Ryker Harvey, Rebecca Harvey and Hunter Binion.

Burrell was a member of Cuthand United Methodist Church and a faithful member of the 19th hole at Clarksville Country Club.

Pallbearers are Mike Boulware, Chris Harvey, Tony Hausler, Alan Hale, Kenny Ray McCulloch, Charlie Segleski, Eddie Moyer, James Martin, Jay Smith, and J.L. O’Neal. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the 19th hole of Clarksville Country Club.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 9, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at Cuthand United Methodist Church on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 10:00 am with Rev. John Purviance officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
