Earnest Edward “Buddy” Booth, Jr., age 72, of Boxelder, passed away Friday, May 29, 2026, at his residence.
Buddy was born April 9, 1954, in Marlow, Oklahoma, to Earnest Edward Booth, Sr. and Dorothy Booth. He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law, Sharon Reppond; and his aunt, Tennie Booth.
Buddy spent much of his younger years working as a cowboy and had a lifelong love for the outdoors. He worked for Red River County Precinct 4 before beginning a career with TxDOT, where he dedicated more than 20 years before retiring. Above all, Buddy cherished his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Lynette Reppond Booth of Boxelder; his son, Cody Booth of Avery; three daughters, Shauna Sands and husband Jacob of Clarksville, Ashley Amos and husband Kristan of New Boston, and Kristin Palmore and husband Cole of De Kalb; his sister, Donna; his brothers, Steve Berry and Wilton Berry, both of Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Riley Sands, Bryce Booth, Brooks Booth, Jase Sands, Trayson Amos, Banks Amos, Crease Palmore, and Colter Palmore; his father-in-law, Doyle Reppond; his brother-in-law, Michael Reppond; his beloved dog, Luna; and his TxDOT family.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Clarksville Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Monday, June 1, 2026, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Deanie Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Boxelder Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers are: Kristan Amos, Cole Palmore, Jacob Sands, Todd Baird, Steve Annis and Rickey Annis.
