Bobby Gene Childres

Bobby Gene Childres, age 83, of the Lone Star Community, passed away, Sunday, October 11, 2020, at Kindred Hospital in Dallas.  Mr. Childres was born, February 19, 1937, in Clarksville to John Wayne and Nettie Bell DeBerry Childres.  He retired with 20 years of service in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Rosalie Lodge # 527 AF&AM in Bogata.  His parents; and a son, Douglas Childres preceded him in death. 

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 16, 2020, in Bogata Cemetery with David Rozell and Rosalie Lodge #527 AF&AM officiating.  Clarksville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Thursday night from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Mr. Childres is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dura Burns Childres; and a granddaughter, Candace Childres of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
