Billie Ruth Taylor age 81, of Detroit, passed away, Sunday, May 24, 2020, at her residence. Billie was born January 29, 1939, in Montague County to Riley and Lucille Busby Harvill. Billie enjoyed raising cattle and following her grandchildren to the Rodeos. She also liked visiting with everyone at the Red River County Fair and stew cookoff. Billie Ruth was the Secretary for Clarksville Funeral Home for many years and a member of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. Her parents; and her husband, Wayne Taylor preceded her in death.
Graveside services are set for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at Tuggle Springs Cemetery with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial is under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends an hour before service time at the Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Brandon Raulston, Brice Franks, Clay Taylor, Sean Price, Riley Lindsey and Rustin Blevins.
Honorary Pallbearers are Craig Fletcher, Monk Fletcher and Coy Allen.
Survivors include 2 sons, Kyle Taylor and wife, Tammy of Clarksville, Kevin Taylor and wife, Stacy of Detroit; 1 daughter, Lisa Franks and husband, Randy of Mt. Pleasant; 1 sister, Rhoda Whitten and husband, Doug of Clarksville; 1 brother, Mike Harvill of Clarksville; 1 sister-in-law, Ann Mc Williams of Detroit; grandchildren, Brandon Rauslton, Brice Franks, Jessica Taylor, Clay Taylor, Kali Taylor, Taylor Blevins and Jody Price; great grandchildren, Madisyn Raulston, McKynsie Franks, Aaron Raulston, Wesley Carico, Oakley Blevins, Piper Lindsey, Cape Blevins and Caton Taylor.
