Bill Minter, age 79, of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024, at his residence.
Bill was born July 11, 1945, in Clarksville to Milton and Mildred Eudy Minter. Bill worked horses and cattle as a self-employed rancher. He traded cows and horses, anything and everything. Bill married the love of his life, Gail, on August 19, 1966, and they spent 58 years of marriage together. He was of the Methodist Faith and loved his family dearly. Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Blair Minter of Clarksville; his son, Wesley Minter and wife, Nancy of Annona; his twin brothers, Mickey Minter and wife, Judy of Detroit and Rickey Minter of Annona; 2 grandchildren, Cory Holder and wife, Christina of Saginaw and Garrett Minter of Annona; and his great grandchild, Kyden Holder.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 9, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of Annona with Rev. Jack Cloyd and John Moore officiating. Burial will follow in English Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers are: Shane Phifer, Blaine Peek, Riley Calloway, Heath Harvey, Calvin Reed and Jeremy White. Honorary pallbearers are: Alan Hale, Val Varley, Thurman Russell, Blake Jackson, Paula Storey, Mitt Beavers, Gary Reed, Levi Turner, Bob Cody, Charles Mallicote, Bud Dobbs, Tom McKissack, Larry Smith and Paul Puckett.
