Ben Austin Kelsoe

Ben Austin Kelsoe, age 81, of Avery, passed away, Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at his residence. Ben was a longtime Rural Mail Carrier in Eastern Red River County. He was also a plumber and electrician. Ben was born, October 8, 1941, in Avery to Joe Ernest and Georgia Ruth Megason Kelsoe. He served in the U.S. Navy. His parents preceded him in death.

Funeral services are set for 12:00 noon on Monday, November 21, 2022, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Deanie Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends an hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Weaver McCord Kelsoe of Avery; 3 sons, Lee Kelsoe and wife, Amanda of Euless, Tony Kelsoe and wife, April of South Padre Island and Matthew Kelsoe and wife, Crystal of Terrell; 1 brother, Joe Ernest Kelsoe and wife, Elaine of Sherman; a special cousin and friend, Earl Kelsoe and wife, Shea of Avery, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
