Barbara Megason

Barbara Gail Megason, age 73, of New Boston, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Barbara was born August 27, 1950, in Clarksville to John Paul “Pete” and Berta McPeak Megason.  She was a member of the Avery Missionary Baptist Church.  Preceding her in death are her parents, her brother, Paul Wayne Megason and her granddaughter, Kelsie Lynn Trimm.

The family will receive friends one hour before service time at Clarksville Funeral Home.

Funeral services are set for 2:00 PM Sunday, November 26, 2023, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Bro. Rocky Dodson officiating.  Burial will follow in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include her son, Jerry Lynn Trimm of DeKalb; her daughter, Lee Ann Downs-Green of Avery; 2 sisters, Carole Jean Megason of Avery and Sherry Beth Megason of Avery; her brother, Jerry Mark Megason and wife, Cheryl of Avery; 4 grandchildren, Clay Taylor and wife Abbi, Megason Kaitlyn Penney, Colten Lee Penney and Kaley Trimm Draper; 2 great grandchildren, Caton Taylor and Addlyn Draper and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
