BILLY BRATTON Obituary

Billy Wayne (BW) was born February 10, 1961, in Fort Worth  to Billy Floyd Bratton and Jane Ann Peek Bratton. Billy was raised in Colleyville and continued to live there until he retired. Billy spent his career at Stewart & Stevenson from the bright young age of 17 until his retirement in 2022, dedicating 44 years. Working for Stewart & Stevenson allowed Billy to travel and meet new people during his years with the company. After retirement, he was finally able to move to the long-awaited country home in Boxelder with his wife of many years. In Boxelder, he was also able to be close to his family again, and they were able to enjoy the slower paced life. Billy Wayne was an outdoorsman that loved to fish and hunt. He was involved in numerous fishing tournaments, with trips made to Mexico with his cousin Chance Schwab. He also hunted numerous animals such as whitetail, elk in Colorado, and birds in Georgia. Billy Wayne had a witty and humorous personality that will be greatly missed. He had a big heart and loved the people close to him deeply. Billy Wayne, in his younger years, was an active football player and later took on the sport of chute dogging.

Billy Wayne is survived by his wife Connie, a sister, Betty Bratton Bickley and husband Gene of Boxelder, stepdaughters Amanda Taylor, Amber Taylor Pettit, stepson Jeremy Taylor, one grandson Dagan Taylor who loved to hunt and fish with his papa Billy. Niece Rebecca Bickley Bates with husband Dennis Bates and two great-nephews who he was extremely fond of and loved to watch them play, Ryker and Reece Bates.

Memorial services are set for 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 16, 2025, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home.  Rev. Ryan Youngblood will officiate.

Honorary pallbearers are Dagan Taylor, Ryker Bates, Reece Bates and Chance Schwab.
