Imogene Drake

Imogene Drake, 100, passed away on December 24, 2019. She was born to Roy and Bamma Taylor in Red River County, Texas on August 19, 1919. She married Erbin Drake on September 15, 1934. She spent several years working at Puckett’s general store in Annona, Texas and Live Oaks Nursing Home in Clarksville, Texas, but most of her years were spent as a homemaker. She was a member of the Avery Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Bamma Taylor, her husband, Erbin Drake, her sister Hazel Kennedy, her daughter and son-in-law, Dorthy and Jimmie Mitchell, her daughter and son-in-law Nelda and Clovis Stevens, her great granddaughter Jessica Flores, and her great grandson Jason Maloney.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Ellen and Kenneth Touchstone of Hooks, Texas, 7 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and many wonderful friends and caregivers.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 29th at 2:30 p.m. at the Avery Church of Christ with David Ingram officiating.  Burial will follow in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends an hour before service time at the church.
