Dempsey McGregor, age 84, of Boxelder, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019, at his residence.
Dempsey was born December 27, 1934, in Annona to Anderson Eli and Strawder Williams McGregor. Dempsey held 39 patents for processes from Texas Instruments. He would make you smile every time he walked into a room, Dempsey never meet a stranger and helped anyone he could. He brought life to Spring Lake Retirement Center with his quick wits. Dempsey was a member of the Spirit of Life Church and loved his church family. He was always there for his family and will be deeply missed. Preceding him in death are his parents; and his wife, Patsy Slocum McGregor.
The family will receive friends Sunday, November 10, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Clarksville Funeral Home.
Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 11, 2019, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Bro. Ray McGregor officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarlawn Memorial Park Cemetery Monday at 2:00 p.m. under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Survivors include his son, Danny McGregor and wife, Tanya of Beaverton, Oregon; his daughter, Dianne McGregor and husband Abraham Cooper of Melissa; 2 sisters, Mary E. Caldwell of Annona and Lillian Carter of Mena, Arkansas; his brother, Bro. Ray McGregor and wife, Annette of Annona and 2 grandchildren, Scott McGregor of Sherman and Brigette McGregor of Ada, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers are Brian McGregor, Tony McGregor, Jake Estham, Jeral Smith, Buddy Calloway, B.J. Garrett and Scottie Rhea.
