Cecilia Cain Obituary

Cecilia Ann Cain, age 76, of Avery, passed away, Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in a Shreveport, Louisiana Hospital.  Mrs. Cain was born, November 27, 1946, in Artesia, New Mexico to Willis “Blackie” and Velma McManus Morgan.  Cecilia drove a bus for Avery Independent School District for over 30 years and was an extra mom to many of her kids.  She was very active in the Avery Community and supported all school activities.  Cecilia married Eulin Cain on August 14, 1965.  Her son, Daniel Pride Cain; two brothers, Tommy Morgan, Dickie Ray Morgan; and a sister, Betty McGough preceded her in death. 

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2024, at Avery High School’s Gene Weaver Gymnasium with Rev. Roddy Jackson officiating and Robert Kelsoe and Ken Sims as Eulogist.  Burial will follow in English Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Jeff Pennington, Steve Watson, Robert Kelsoe, Ken Sims, Terry Burkett, Stacy Burkett, Robbie Childres and Jason Braden.

Survivors include her husband, Eulin Cain of Avery; three sons, Kenny Cain and wife, Jani of Rockwall, Robert Joseph Cain of Avery and Matthew Edward Cain of Austin; one sister, Norma Pennington of Avery; one brother, Steve Watson of New Boston; granddaughter, Caleigh Pride Cain of Rockwall and several nieces and nephews.
