Dessie Mae Robertson
Dessie Mae Robertson, age 78 of Clarksville, died Saturday, July 26, 2008, in ETMC Clarksville.
She was born on the Blossom Prairie in Red River County, January 31, 1930 to J.G. and Edna Earl Townes Rogers. She was a Homemaker, and a long time member of the First Baptist Church, where she was in the Ruth Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 28 at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Gossett officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 at Clarksville Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald Robertson. They were married in Clarksville on February 2, 1947; daughters, Sharon Huckabay and husband, Roger of Clarksville, Diane Storey and husband Kenneth of Clarksville, Kitty Cox and husband Jimmy of Blossom; grandchildren, Chad Helberg of Paris, Dana Helberg of Dallas, Emily and Cameron Storey of Clarksville, Jeffrey and Robin Cox of Blossom; 4 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her special friends of the Ruth Sunday School Class.
Pallbearers are; Don and Gene Townes, Billy Mauldin, Pete Carpenter, Larry Stratton and Johnny Drew. Honorary Pallbearers are the members of the Believers Sunday School Class and David Townes.
