Barbara Whiteman Meredith, age 69 of Clarksville, died Tuesday, July 08, 2008 in ETMC Clarksville.
Graveside funeral services are scheduled for 11: a.m. Thursday, July 10 at the Madras Cemetery with the Rev. Ed Dodson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 10:00 until 10:45 Thursday morning at Clarksville Funeral Home.
She was born April 15, 1939, to Jim and Nellie Davis Whiteman in Clarksville. She retired as a Loan Officer for the USDA Farm Service Agency in Clarksville. She was a member of the College Avenue Baptist Church, and served in the U.S. Army.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Whiteman.
Survivors include her husband, James Meredith of Clarksville. They were married on March 14, 1964; sons, Michael Meredith of Bogata and Jason Meredith of Clarksville; sisters, Janet Ussery of Clarksville and Charlotte Kornell of Dallas; brother James B. Whiteman of Sulphur Springs; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
