Jacky Ray Smith
Jacky Ray Smith, age 51 of Clarksville, died Sunday, July 6, 2008 in Ellis County Texas from a traffic accident.
Services for Jacky will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 11 in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with the Rev. Cindy Baker and Rev. Sam Rice officiating. Jacky will be buried in Jamison Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
He was born in Clarksville on June 10, 1956, to Ray and Betty Smith. He was a truck driver for Annona Manufacturing for over 20 years. Jacky loved to hunt, fish, and being with his family. He was known by the kids as, “Papa Jack”. He was a member of the Pine Grove Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Faulkner of Clarksville. They were married on May 4, 1979; Parents, Ray and Betty Smith of Detroit; Grandmother, Margaret Cavender of Detroit; son, Bradley Ray Smith of Clarksville; daughter, Molliejean Beers and husband Brent of Forney; grandchildren, Andrew McCollister and Kayla Beers; brothers, Ronnie Smith of Detroit and James Smith and wife Sandra of Pittsburg; father-in-law, James Ray Faulker of Clarksville; brother-in-law, Jerald Faulkner and wife Cindy of Paris; several nieces and nephews.
