Doris Peek
Doris Peek, age 75 of Boxelder, passed away, July 4, 2008 at ETMC Clarksville.
She was born on September 5, 1932 in Red River County to Hubert and Ella Sutton Joyner Moore.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Moore.
She was a member of the Salem Baptist Church, loved gardening, her family, friends and was retired from Prudential Insurance Company.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Tom Peek of Boxelder. They were married in Texarkana on June 24, 1950. One son, Blane Peek and wife Kathy of Boxelder; one daughter, Belinda Presswood and husband Ken of Garland; sister, Sarah Peek and Husband Jimmy of Boxelder; brothers, Doug Moore and wife Betty of Huntsville, Alabama, Harry Moore and wife Linda of Clarksville; sister-in-law, Nancy Moore of Clarksville; grandchildren, Kelli Bednarski, Chesley Peek, Joshua Presswood and wife Becky, Casey Presswood and Veronica Presswood; one great-grandchild, Preslie Bednarski; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ray McGregor officiating. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 at the funeral home. Pallbearers are; Jeff Moore, Clay and Darrell Peek, Jay Smith, Mark Nicks and Scotty Rhea. Honorary Pallbearers are Kenneth Peek and Henry Rhea. Burial is in Boxelder Cemetery, under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
