William H. “Bill” Storey
William H. “Bill” Storey age 82 of Avery, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, in Christus St. Michaels Hospital in Texarkana.
Mr. Storey was born in the English Community of Red River County on May 3, 1926, the son of Herman Washington and Lou Virda Williams Story. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife Elizabeth Storey and a grandson, Bo Travillion.
Mr. Storey was retired from the Red River Army Depot, a member of the Avery United Methodist Church, and served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Survivors include his wife; Rexene Davidson Storey. They were married on May 3, 2001 in Avery; two sons, Roger Earl Storey and wife Marilyn of Avery, Mike Storey and wife June of Avery; daughter, Sallie Carnihan and husband Larry of Avery; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; step-children, Linda Hicks, Ronnie Storey, Kenneth Storey, Betty Lou Costabile, and Kerry Storey; several step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Avery United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Gary McCain officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday night from 6 to 8 at Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are; Bailey Cruce, C.D. Jackson, Jerry Jackson, Roy Jackson, James Davidson, Charles Stanley and Gary Leirs, Honorary Pallbearers are; Louis Nicholas, William Howard Farris and Billy Lee. Burial will follow in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
