Jimmie L. Rollings
Jimmie L. Rollings, age 72 of Avery, started the first day of the rest of his life with his Lord and Savior on June 2, 2008, at his residence.
He is survived by Barbara Rollings his wife of 34 years; sister, Ima Ruth Smith of Carthage; three children; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.
Mr. Rollings was born in the Boxelder Community in Red River County on June 14, 1935, the son of Raymond and Lyshia Baird Rollings. He was a member of the Avery United Methodist Church and a cattle rancher.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, June 6 at 10:30 a.m. at the Avery UMC with the Rev. Gary McCain and Pastor Tom Rosemann officiating. Visitation is Thursday night from 7 to 8 at Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are; Dalton Jackson, David Roberts, Allen Smith, Ben Rosemann, Ronnie Ellenburg and John Muncy. Private graveside services will follow in Savannah Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
