Betty Jane Alsip Cornuaud
Betty Jane Alsip Cornuaud, age 69 of Kemp, formerly of the Negley Community, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2007 at the Presbyterian Hospital in Kaufman. She fought a long and courageous battle with colon cancer. She resided at the Cedar Lake Nursing Home and Rehab in Malakoff.
Betty Jane Cornuaud was born February 6, 1938, in Negley, to the late George Richard and Eulah Mae Alsip. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Anthony Cornuaud; infant daughter, Lisa Kay Cornuaud; brothers, Dick Alsip and Will Alsip; sisters, Margaret Somerville and Florence Erwin.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Cornuaud of Kemp; sons Richard Freitas and Johnny Cornuaud of Arlington; step-sons, James Cornuaud of Colorado, Paul Cornuaud of Dallas, Pat Cornuaud of Red Oak, and Scott Cornuaud of Quinlan; daughter, Theresa Jones and husband Greg of Clarksville; step-daughter, Linda Cornuaud of Houston; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren; numerous relatives, may from Clarksville.
Memorial services will be Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Tuggle Springs Cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Kellam officiating. Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
