Amy Lois Hensarling Nicholas
Amy Lois Hensarling Nicholas, a loving wife, mother and “Nanny”, age 86 of Longview and formerly of Avery, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008 in a Longview Hospital.
She was born in Roaring Springs on November 15, 1921 the daughter of Charlie Hiram and Pearl Etoy Hogland Hensarling.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Brantley Nicholas in 2004; daughter, Theresa Ward; brother, Charles Hensarling; sister Janet Sales.
Survivors include her children, Don Nicholas and wife Janet of Mineola, Jan Payton and husband Mike of Dallas; grandchildren, Dana Neel and husband Tony of Arkadelphia, AR, Angela Breitkreutz and husband Dennis of Winter Garden, FL, Clint Ward and wife Terry of Allen, Chad Payton and wife Chelsie of Gladewater, Amy Ward of Dallas, Erin Gustafson and husband Brent of Humble and Adam Payton of Tyler; ten great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Friday afternoon at 3:00 in Avery Cemetery with David Ingram officiating. Services are under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 Tuesday night at the funeral home.
