Willie Lee Tackett
Willie Lee Tackett age 74 of Clarksville, died Thursday, March 20, 2008 in Regency Nursing Center.
Mr. Tackett was born April 29, 1933 in Red River County to Relis and Edna Rosson Tackett. He was a retired Carpenter, member of the Church of Christ and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be Sunday, March 23, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Bill Whiteman officiating. Visitation will be Saturday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Gerald, Lance and Jared Tackett, Craig Russell, Dustin Blankenship, Casey Vaughan. Honorary Pallbearers are Gilbert Terry, Ed Dickson, Alan and Greg Patel, Solon King. Burial will follow in Jackson Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of forty years, Linda Dorer Tackett of Clarksville; mother, Edna Tackett of Clarksville; mother in law, Bonnie Gross of Clarksville; son, Tim Tackett of Clarksville; five daughters, Andrea Blankenship and husband Don of Thompson Station, TN, Audy Smith and Fiancé Brad Nutt of Clarksville, Tishie Arnold and Fiancé Charles Howland of Avery, Tonya Rust and husband Tony of Avery, Tia Lindsey and husband John of Bogata; sister, Nina Snowden of Missouri City; brothers Jerry Tackett of Paris, Shelby Tackett of Dallas and Mac Tackett of Dallas; sister-in-law and husband Dorothy and Tony Russell of Wake Village; sister in law Carolyn Sue Beers of Waco; grandchildren, Shannon, Melanie and John Kuhle, Dustin, Ashley and Zachary Blankenship, Amanda Smith, Lauren and Brent Arnold, Matthew Rust, Vanessa and Ashton Tackett; great-grandchildren, Jesse and Holly Kuhle.
