Sidney Chapman
Sidney Chapman, 81 of Texarkana, TX and formerly of Red River Co., died March 3, 2008 in Good Shepard Hospital in Linden, TX.
He was born December 19, 1926 to Dave Chapman and Norvell Bradley Chapman Jones. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Mr. Chapman was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob Jones and John Chapman; a sister, Mildred Gardner.
Survivors include four sons, Bill Chapman of Texarkana, TX, James Chapman of Baytown, TX, Robert Chapman of Oklahoma City and David Chapman of Mansfield, AR; two daughters, Doris Carpenter of Oklahoma City, Julie Stanford of Oklahoma City; one sister, Jimmye Weed of New Boston; nineteen grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren.
Services will be Friday, March 7, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with the Rev. Wilson Weed officiating. Visitation will be Thursday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Springs Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
