Rebecca Pace Giddens

Rebecca Pace Giddens of  Clarksville, died Monday, February 25, 2008, in Regency Nursing Center. She was born on October 27, 1918, in the Albion Community in Red River Co. to Frank B. and Katie Brewer Pace.   She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Frank W. Pace, and a sister,  Katie  Kerbow.

Mrs. Giddens was retired from work for both Bullington’s Drug Store and Blackmon Pharmacy in Clarksville.  She was a longtime and active member of the First Baptist Church of Clarksville and was a member of the Rebekah Lodge. 

Survivors include her husband, George Mac Giddens of Clarksville; a son, George G. Giddens and wife Nanette of Fredericksburg, Virginia; two daughters, Barbara Conlan of Ojai, California and Ann Eudy and husband Don of Clarksville; sisters Bernice Fox of Clarksville and Lois Butler of Avery; ten grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren.

Services are scheduled for Sunday, March 2, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Gossett officiating.  Burial will follow in Stones Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Saturday night from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Pallbearers are Chad, Brad, and Tad Eudy, Scott, Kevin, and Todd Conlan, Blake and Jim Giddens.  Honorary Pallbearers are the members of the Builders Sunday School class and Jimmy Jamison.
