Holloway

Woodrow Holloway, 91, of Clarksville, Texas, died Saturday, February 2, 2008,
in ETMC Clarksville. Mr. Holloway was known throughout the county for his truck
farming. He was a wonderful father and grandfather. Mr. Holloway was born
November 15, 1916, in Red River County, Texas. His parents were Charley and
Claire Cherry Holloway. He served in the U.S. Army, a member of the Garland
Chapel UMC, and was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Holloway in 1991; two
brothers; three sisters. Memorials may be made to the Callisburg ISD Scholarship
fund; 148 Doizer, Callisburg, Texas, 76240.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Susan Holloway of
Lake Kiowa, Texas; one granddaughter, Megan Holloway of Lake Kiowa, Texas; a
sister, Allie Aikin of Avery, Texas.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 4 in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville
Funeral Home with the Rev. James Brown officiating. Visitation will be Sunday
afternoon from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers are, J.L. O’Neal,
Gary Allen, James Davidson, Tim Shimpock, Jesse Bishop and John Beck; Honorary
Pallbearers are, Clifford, Billy, Bobby and Travis Lee Holloway, Leo Tucker and
Junior Gross. Burial will follow in Garland Cemetery, Annona, Texas, under
the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
