Kathryn J. Mathis
Kathryn J. Mathis, age 79 of Clarksville, Texas, died Monday, January 28 in
Clarksville Nursing Center. Mrs. Mathis was born June 18, 1928, in Red River
County, Texas. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, John Penny and wife Bernie of Clarksville, Texas,
Mark Penny and wife Pattie of Sulphur Springs, Texas; two daughters, Pamela Mitchell
and husband Ross of Clarksville, Texas, Belinda Baxter and husband Ken of Daingerfield,
Texas; life time friend, Dewey Penny of Clarksville, Texas, one sister, Geneva
Langston of Clarksville, Texas; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren;
two nieces; two nephews.
Services will be Wednesday, January 30 at 2:00p.m. in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville
Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Posey officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday
from 1:00pm until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers are John Paul
Penny, Larry Taylor, Brandon Peek, Shawn Mitchell, Josh Mitchell, Carey Gose,
Timothy Baxter, James Baxter. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery, under the direction
of Clarksville Funeral Home.
