Opal Mae Adams - age: 81
(May 19, 1929 to March 16, 2011 ) Resident of Clarksville, Texas Visitation Information: The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 to 7 at the funeral home. Obituary: Opal Adams, age 81, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Clarksville Nursing Center. Mrs. Adams was born May 19, 1929 in Gonzales to Franklin Lafete and Nancy Ida Ivey West. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She married Francis Adams on June 15, 1948. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents; three brothers, Odel, Olan and James West; and a daughter, Linda Darlene Adams. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Forrest Reed, Lynn Dobson, Ricky Meals, Bubba Stringer, Ray West and Glenn Adams. Survivors include her sons, Glenn Adams and wife Linda, Doyle Adams and wife Debbie, Donald Adams and Steve Adams all of Clarksville; her daughter, Dianne Reed and husband Forrest of Clarksville; one sister, Joyce Olene Hartgrove of Stockdale; three brothers, Ray West of Littleton, Charles West of Devine and Owen West of San Antonio; four grandchildren; and one great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association at 4425 W. Airport Freeway, Suite 130, Irving, Texas 75062. |

To Ms. Opal's family;
I'm so sorry for your loss, but she put up a good fight for good number of years. This time she was too worn out and God said He was ready for her. I know there will be a large void in your hearts but she's much better off. Just know that my prayers are with each one of you. My love and thoughts are with you also. Love to each one of you!! She'll be missed by alot of friends and family. May God bless each of you..
